BENSON -- Mrs. Emeline Edgerton Higgins, 91, Benson, died S at Sutton Retirement Home in Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Willow Spring. Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph M. Hill.
Mrs. Higgins was born July 6, 1920, in Johnston County to the late Andrew and Annie Starling Edgerton.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Millard G. Higgins Sr.
Mrs. Higgins was a homemaker, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy H. and Roger Berry of Goldsboro; son, Millard G. Higgins Jr. of Gainesville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Larue Sills of Lillington; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Edgerton of Angier.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
