WAKE FOREST -- Jimmy Howard Edwards, 52, resident of Wake Forest, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Wake Medical Center.
Jimmy was born in Wayne County June 20, 1959, to the late Harvey Wilson Edwards and Ruby Aldridge Edwards.
He was a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he received a degree in engineering.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Jimmy is survived by his two children, Jimmy Ardel Edwards and Jessica Renea Green; grandchildren, Mason Gregory Edwards, Chase Lonzo Green and Kayden Joyce Green; sisters, Marvis "Marcy" Edwards Byrd (William), Janet Edwards Mitchell (Curtis), Catherine Edwards Zilliox (Peter) and Joan Edwards Hare; and his brothers, Stuart N. Edwards, Harvey W. Edwards Jr. (Alice), Richard Donald Edwards (Edith), David A. Edwards and Paul D. Edwards.
