JOHN WILLIAM MALFY JR.

John W. Malfy Jr. died at his residence Saturday.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70, west of Goldsboro, with military honors.
There will be a time of sharing with the family prior to the service.
Surviving are his sisters, Liza Al-Rajhi (Hamid Zakaria) of Cary and Margaritte Malfy (Susan Thomas) of New York City; his aunt, Barbara West; and his cousin, Harriet Harrison.
He was a native of Wayne County, and was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Lee Cultrel West Malfy and John William Malfy Sr.
He was retired from the United States Air Force, and was graduated from Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He had worked for a number of years with Arnold-Wilbert Vault Co.
