RALPH LESLIE HOOD

Ralph Leslie Hood, 79, passed away Monday evening at the home of his daughter in Troy, N.C.
He was the son of the late William Leslie and Mary Estelle Hood, and was the husband of the late Jo Ann Hood.
Ralph was a dedicated veteran. He was in the United States Navy for four years, and then in the United States Air Force for another 26 years, and served in Korea and Vietnam.
He was also a member of Waynesboro Model Railroad club, and a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Friday at noon at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Hood is survived by a daughter, Robin Lee Hulbert and husband, Donald, of Troy, N.C.; a son, Danny Hood and fiancee, Cindy George, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; sister, Dean Rackley of Mount Olive; four grandchildren, Jason Blaine, Shaun Hood, Kegan Hood and Kelsey Hood; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden Hood, Crystal Haithcock and Hunter Hood.
