CECIL GRAY ATKINSON

WARSAW -- Cecil Gray Atkinson, 80, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Carolina East Hospice Care Center in Kenansville.
Mr. Atkinson was born March 7, 1930, in Dupliln County to the late Thomas and Bessie Blizzard Atkinson.
He was owner and operator of A&B Milling Co.
Mr. Atkinson is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bland Atkinson of the home; a son, Dennis Gray Atkinson of Olney, Md.; a daughter, Cecilia A. Quinn and husband, Leon John Quinn, of Kenansvlle; a sister, Leona A. Jones of Kenansville; and three grandchildren, Jamison Gray Whaley, Jeremy Bland Whaley and Evelyn Ashley Whalely.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Atkinson was predeceased by his brothers, Cleo Atkinson and Herman Atkinson, and his sister, Christine Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Community Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow the service in Devotional Gardens.
Visitations will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.
