JOSEPH 'LITTLE JOE' CARTER JR.

DUDLEY -- Joseph "Little Joe" Carter Jr., 21, died Saturday due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of Joseph Carter Sr. and Martha Annette Lawrence.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his sons, Jayden Lee Carter and Camden Lee Carter; his fiancee, Cindle Dubois; two brothers, Anthony Scott Carter and William Ted Megginsom III; his sister, Chelsea Lynne Carter; and his maternal grandparents, Leland Lawrence and Geneva Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard Carter and Janice Carter.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Bobby Heath and the Rev. James Cullen officiating. Burial will follow in Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times at the homes of his mother, Martha Annette Lawrence, 106 Walters Drive in Goldsboro, or his father, Joseph Carter Sr., 122 Erik Drive in Dudley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be directed to the Jayden and Camden Carter Trust Fund, c/o First Citizens Bank, 200 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
