LOUISE WHITFIELD DOCTOR

Louise Whitfield Doctor, 34 Poplar St., was born Oct. 26, 1940, to Eddie and Malissa Whitfield in Goldsboro, N.C. She departed this earthly home Sept. 6, 2010.
Louise attended Wayne County Public Schools, and continued her education in California at John Adams Technical School and San Francisco City College.
At an early age, she joined St. John Free Will Baptist Church in Dudley, N.C. After moving to California, she joined Second Baptist Church under the direction of the Rev. Dr. Metter. After leaving California, she became a member of Parker's Chapel.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Louise Johnson, and brothers, John, William and Jesse Whitfield.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Debra Johnson of Knightdale, N.C.; two sons, George Johnson Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C., and Tony Johnson of California; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Helen Whitfield of Goldsboro, N.C., Bernice Kornegay of Dudley, N.C., Sudie Lofton of Dudley, N.C., Gladys Johnson of Washington, D.C., Minnie Pettaway of Goldsboro, N.C., Marjorie (Jaun) Hackley of Maryland, Myrtle (Billy) Mitchel of Goldsboro, N.C., and Rachel (Isaac) Ferrell of Apex, N.C.; three brothers, Thomas (Dora) Whitfield of Dudley, N.C., Marvin (Ruth) Whitfield of Queens, N.Y., and Brownie Lee Whitfield of Philadelphia, Pa.; three aunts, Flossie Carraway of Goldsboro, N.C., Julia Mae McKenzie of Philadelphia, Pa., and Allion Grandy of Dudley, N.C.; a special friend, missionary Clementine Parker; and her church family at Parker's Chapel.
A viewing for Mrs. Doctor will be held today from 3 to 7 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. Services to celebrate the prolific life and legacy of Mrs. Doctor will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Parker's Chapel Church. After which, Mrs. Doctor's delicate temple, along with her adored family, will be escorted to the family cemetery for farewell rites.
For it is now that Mrs. Doctor has crossed those celestial shores and is resting among the heavenly hosts enjoying the beauty of the Lord.
