ETHELENE BEST HAM

Ethelene Best Ham, 87, 878 Rosewood Road, died Wednesday evening at home.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Sally Taylor Best, and the wife of the late George Albert Ham.
She was also preceded in death by her son, George Emmitt Ham.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with pastors Christian Powell and Kelvin Gurley officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ham is survived by her sons, Dillard Ray Ham and wife, Peggy, of Goldsboro, James "Jimmy" Albert Ham of Goldsboro and David Emmitt Best of Chapel Hill; two grandchildren, Karen Lott of Goldsboro and David Lott of Farmville; and two great-grandchildren, Sarah Lott and Benjamin Lott of Goldsboro.
Family members will greet friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home.
