MATTIE B. AVERY
FAISON -- Mattie B. Avery, 73 of 11591 Faison Highway, died Thursday at her home.
Born in Sampson Co., she is the daughter of the late Claudie and Viola Blue Stevens.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Piney Green Disciple Church of Christ, Newton Grove, with elder Steven Craig Moore, officiating. Burial will follow in the Cobbs Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Avery, and two children.
A viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
