HAROLD RAY EDWARDS

Harold Ray Edwards, 82, of 1015 Gurley Mill Road, Princeton died Saturday morning at Johnston Medical Center. Born Oct. 27, 1926, he is the son of the late John Daniel and Tempie Rains Edwards. Mr. Harold and Ruth operated the Amoco Station in Princeton for a number of years. Graveside services were held today at 11 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Mr. Harold is survived by his wife, Ruth W. Edwards; his sons, Donnie Edwards of Denver, N.C., Ken Edwards of Charlotte and Jerry Edwards of Iron Station; his daughter, Cathy E. McAbee of Concord; his step-daughters Janice Cooke of Rosewood and Brenda Herring of Rockingham; his stepson Rexford E. Woodard Jr. of Four Oaks; his brother Herbert (Hub) E. Edwards of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home.
