A celebration of life for Rodney Darryl Barnett, 47, 404 Wayne Ave., Apt 1, who died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at New St. John AME Church, with the Rev. Dr. Teresa M. Holmes as eulogist.
He will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born July 29, 1961, to the late Talmadge Barnett Sr. and Rosa Peacock Barnett.
He leaves precious memories with his daughter, Annika Marie Barnett of Raleigh, and one brother, Talmadge L. Barnett Jr. of Lumberton.
There will be a viewing Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the education fund of his daughter and may be sent to Annika Barnett, 4801 Windblown Court, Raleigh, NC, 27616.
