EMILY S. GIBBS
Feb. 11, 1915-March 8, 2009
Emily Spencer Gibbs, 94, longtime resident of North Lake Road, Fairfield, and more recently a resident of Brookdale-Sterling House in Goldsboro, died Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ with Leon Williams, Phil Emmert and Doug Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Robert Carson Gibbs Family Cemetery on North Lake Road.
Born in Hyde County on Feb. 11, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Kizzy M. Spencer.
She is survived by two children.
The family will receive friends at Bryan Funeral Service in Swan Quarter on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
