PIKEVILLE -- James William "Bill" Holland Sr., 76, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held today at 2 at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Holland was born in Wayne County on Oct. 2, 1932. He attended Whitley Church while his health permitted and was owner and operator of Bill Holland Logging Co.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Cummings Holland; one son, Billy Holland and wife, Cheryl, of Rosewood; one brother, R.J. Holland and wife, Linda, of Pikeville; one sister, Evelyn Minshew of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Kristen Holland and fiancé, Anthony Garner, and Brandon Holland and wife, Diana; and one great-granddaughter, Izabella Holland.
