TEMPIE M. ANDERSON

LAGRANGE -- Tempie Martin Anderson, 93, 679 Piney Grove Road, died Tuesday.
A service of remembrance will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Anderson was born June 3, 1915, to the late Ira and Annie Baker Martin. She was wife of the late Norbert Anderson and was preceded in death by a daughter, Eula Marie Anderson; and three grandchildren. A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Anderson enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by nine children, Norwood G. Anderson and wife, Joyce, of Concord, Kenneth Anderson of Seven Springs, Glennie Worrell and husband, Leroy, of Goldsboro, Farrell Anderson and wife, Lorraine, of Mount Olive, Aubrey Anderson and wife, Judy, of LaGrange, Annie A. Garris of LaGrange, Jimmy Anderson and wife, Linda, of Goldsboro, Ruth Wade and husband, Jimmy, of LaGrange, Tony Anderson and wife, Diane, of LaGrange; three sisters, Irene Hall of Mount Olive, Lessie Gray Price of Seven Springs and Joyce Sullivan of Mount Olive; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times they will be at the home.
