RONALD J. BOUDY

Ronald Joseph Boudy entered eternal rest on Saturday at the Durham Medical Center in Durham following a lengthy battle with lung disease. He was 49 years old.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date in Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum in New Orleans, La. The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
Mr. Boudy was born Oct. 30, 1959, in New Orleans, La., the sixth of eight children of the late Albert Lewis Boudy Sr. and the late Frances Jean (Boutte) Boudy. He was a four-year resident of Goldsboro.
Mr. Boudy was a 1977 graduate of McDonough 35 High School in New Orleans. After graduation from high school, he served two years in the U.S. Marine Reserves and four years active duty in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, he returned to New Orleans where he resided until September 2005, when he moved to Goldsboro following Hurricane Katrina. He worked a variety of jobs during his lifetime, culminating with his employment with the Wal-Mart Corporation in Goldsboro.
Mr. Boudy leaves fond and lasting memories, which will be cherished in the hearts, minds, and souls of his devoted family and friends. Survivors include two brothers, Albert (Linda) Boudy Jr. of North Augusta, S.C., and Joseph (Pilar) Boudy Sr. of Goldsboro; five sisters, Linda Jackson, Agatha Boudy and Cynthia Boudy of Goldsboro, Mary (Henry) Onezine of Clyde, Texas, and Sylvia (Valient Cuiellette) Boudy of Houston, Texas; six aunts, Emelda (Henry) Johnson of Oakland, Calif., Patricia Dailey of Metairie, La., Shirley (Donald) Minor of Walker, La., Elaine (Louis) Miller of New Orleans, La., and Ernestine Boudy of Gretna, La.; two uncles, Alvin (Nancy) Boudy of Tucson, Ariz., and Phillip Boutte Jr. of Opelousas, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and cherished friends.
