Jennie Braswell Daniels, 89, lovingly known by her family and friends as "Mama," of 304 Bright St., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 411 Martin Luther King Expressway, Goldsboro. Also, a viewing and wake will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 10 to 11 a.m.
Jennie was born on Sept. 19, 1919, to the late Lorenzo and Easter Shadding Braswell. Her husband, Mr. Walter Daniels Sr., and daughter, Melouise Daniels, both of Goldsboro, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Walter Daniels Jr. of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Babette Daniels of Goldsboro, Walgena Daniels of Hightstown, N.J., Rodney Daniels of Goldsboro and Walt Daniels of Irvington, N.J.; seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Geneva "Boochie" Hurtado of Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
