LINDA W. BARTLETT

PIKEVILLE -- Linda Weaver Bartlett, 100 Bartlett Road, died Saturday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, with her family by her side. Her 30-year courageous battle with cancer was won as she now rests in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Antioch Free Will Baptist Church, 1407 Antioch Church Road, Pikeville. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70 West of Goldsboro.
Surviving are her daughters, Michelle Bartlett Hamm (Kelly) and MeLinda Bartlett Edwards (Carl) both of Pikeville; brothers, Joe Leslie "J.L." Weaver Jr. (Iris) of Mount Olive and a half brother Jay Weaver of Mount Olive; sister, Gloria Weaver Gurley (Felix) of Princeton; sister-in-law, Ann Jones Weaver of Smithfield; nieces and nephews, Gary Weaver (Ann Davis), Annet Hagwood (Jimmy), Joey Weaver (Becky), Chris Weaver (Angie), Heather Hollowell (Chris), Scarlet Medin (Chad) and Richie Kirby; and a special friend, Stephanie Tyndall Kaminchak (Mike).
Mrs. Bartlett was a native of the Grantham Community and was the daughter of the late Isabelle Moore Weaver and the late Joe Leslie Weaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Bartlett, and brothers James Marion Weaver and Philip Weaver.
Mrs. Bartlett was a member of Antioch Free Will Baptist Church where she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed serving on the Mug and Muffin Committee. She was a graduate of the 1962 Class of Grantham High School and also Crumpler Business School.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Mug and Muffin Committee c/o Michelle B. Hamm, 140 Bartlett Road, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.
The family will be at Mr. and Mrs. Carl Edwards, 2551 Pikeville/Princeton Road (Pine Ridge Drive), Pikeville, N.C.
