Donald Ray Atkinson, 50, 1702 S. Slocumb St., passed away peacefully Friday at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ with bishop Alton Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Among his survivors are his wife, Debbra Atkinson of the home and a daughter, Mother Barbara Rivers of Goldsboro.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 7 with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
