EDNAREE K. MCINTYRE
Died Dec. 13, 2008
Ednaree King McIntyre, 306 Forest Drive, peacefully departed this life Saturday morning at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park North.
She was the wife of John H. McIntyre Sr.
Mrs. McIntyre was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of Isis and Eta Phi Beta Sorority. In addition, she was a stalwart member of Antioch Missionary Baptist for many years, where she founded the Widows Mite Ministry.
Precious memories remain with her children, E. Regina McIntyre of Durham, Elston Ray McIntyre of Goldsboro and John H. McIntyre Jr. of Hillsborough; sisters, Augusta Silver of Goldsboro and Eula Jane Wynnn of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane Centennial, Colo., 80112.
In accordance with Mrs. McIntyre's wishes, there will be no public viewing.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
