LINDA BOGUE KILLEN

KNIGHTDALE -- Linda Bogue Killen, 71, of 314 S. Smithfield Road, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008.
Linda was born in Wayne County on Feb. 20, 1937, to the late Frank Bogue and Ella M. Lancaster Bogue. After graduation, Linda served her country in the United States Air Force as a registered nurse and it was there she met her husband, the late Gayle Thomas Killen. She worked as a registered nurse with Raleigh Commu-nity Hospital until retirement. She was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church.
The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at Knightdale Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Mailman Road, Knightdale, N.C. 27545
Mrs. Killen is survived by a son, Russell Killen and wife, Kipley, of Knightdale; daughter, Karen Banks and husband, Tracy, of Knightdale; grandchildren, Ryan Killen, Lauren Banks, Rachel Killen and Rebecca Banks; mother-in-law, Vera Killen; brothers; William Bogue and wife, Edna, of Fremont, Frank Lee Bogue and wife, Betty Jean, of Fremont, Hugh Bogue and wife, Peggy, of Greensboro, Thomas Bogue and wife, Glennie, of Saratoga; sisters, Mildred Lancaster of Pikeville, Jean Messer and husband, Richard, of LaCross, Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Thompson, Ruth Mercer; and brother, Milton Bogue.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, N.C. 27545 and other times at the home.
