Dora Edwards, 72, of 410 W. Claiborne St. peacefully departed this life Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She will be eulogized Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Capers officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery.
She was preceded in the chambers of death by her parents, Harry Lee and Rosa Lee Braswell, and a sister Ernestine McKinney.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Fredrick Edwards of the home; children Lanette Moses and Quentin Moses; siblings and siblings-in-law, Mary B. and Charles Marsh, Annie Ruth B. and Connell Greenfield, Shirely B. and Claude Jones, Isabelle B. and Alexander Cox, John E. and Zelda Braswell, Gladys B. and Albert Butler; grandchildren, Brittany Moses, Dontrell Lewis, Rodney Lewis, Malik Moses, Rasheed Moses; great-grandchildren, Caleb Moses, Nevaeh Moses; a host nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 until 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
