FREMONT -- Corinne Parks Price, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held this evening, Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at 7 at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Judy Drye will officiate. The family will receive friends following the funeral service and other times at 209 W. Carolina St. in Fremont. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Price was born in Wayne County on Oct. 13, 1920, to the late Joseph Stephenson and Lila Smith Parks. She was a member of Fremont United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Fremont Rescue Ladies Auxiliary. She was a graduate of New Hope High School and the Baltimore School of Nursing.
She is survived by two sons, Connie Price and his wife, Dr. Amy Price of Fremont and Dr. Jerry Price and his wife, Dawn of Lynchburg, Va.; two sisters, Frances Rose of Grantham and Lois Langston of Goldsboro; one brother, Robert "Ham" Parks of Hood Swamp; six grandchildren, Rachel Price, Anna Price, Jordan Price, Ted Price, Sam Price and Katy Price; and two caregivers, Pernell Lane and Barbara Whitlock.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Price; and one brother, Earl Parks.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Corinne Price may be directed to Fremont United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 147, Fremont, N.C., 27830.
