Alice Smith Thomas, 87, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Burial will be held in Durham to be announced.
She was born in Durham on Jan. 24, 1921, to the late Royal Wright Smith and Nettie Garner Smith.
She is survived by three sons.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
