James "Jim" Charles Wade, 82, Highway U.S. 13 N., died Sunday morning at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Visitation will follow at the home of Connie and Gene Dail, 713 Bartlett Road in Pikeville. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
Mr. Wade was born in Indiana on Feb. 18, 1926, to the late Owen and Edith Dowell Wade.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Wade; two daughters; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
