HONOR L. JOHNSON

Honor Lee Johnson, 82, passed on Monday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Forsy the officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Wayne County on June 3, 1926, to the late Perry Robbins and Missouri Lee Robbins. She was a home-maker caring for her family in many ways. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church and had taught Sunday school for over 40 years.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Paul Johnson; her children, Dennis P. Johnson and wife, Deborah of Goldsboro and Rita Johnson Smith and husband, Gene of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Ryan Smith of Goldsboro, Christopher Hux of Afghanistan, Jason Hux of Ohio and Patrick Hux of Goldsboro; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers, Paschal Robbins and wife, Ruth of Princeton and Billy Robbins and wife, Ava of Goldsboro; her sister, Frances Pearce and husband, Alton of Princeton; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Johnson of Kinston and Lois Robbins of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home, 1413 N. George St., Goldsboro.
