NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Mr. Tony Anthony Edwards, 49, 2603 Jopline Drive, departed his life on Saturday, Sept. 20, to enter into eternal rest.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2136 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, with the Rev. James Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Church Cemetery, Fremont. A viewing will be held on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, from 1 to 7 p.m. A wake will be conducted on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m.
For approximately ten years, Mr. Edwards served our Country in the United States Army.
Tony, the son of Irene Edmundson Davis and Julius Davis was born on March 15, 1959. His biological father, Robert A. Edwards, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Terrelle and Sherelle Edwards of Newport News, Va.; his parents, Irene Edmundson Davis and Julius Davis of Goldsboro; three brothers, Robert L., Elijah and Ralph; four sisters, Geraldine, Brenda, Ilene and Tina; one maternal aunt, Beatrice Edmundson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Davis, 507 Woodrow St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
On Saturday the family members and friends will assemble at the residence, 507 Woodrow St., one-hour prior in preparation for the funeral procession.
