Bobby Jinks Preston, 65, Phyllis Drive, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Westwood United Methodist Church in Goldsboro. A time of visitation will follow the service.
Mr. Preston was born in Durham County on Sept. 9, 1943, to the late Columbus Jinks Preston and Minnie Lee Fulton Preston.
He is survived by one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
