Mrs. Annie Best Lee, 84, 507 Gulley St., entered into eternal rest on Monday at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Atkinson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 334 South Oak Forrest Road, with Dr. Michael Johnson, Eulogist and Pastor Charles Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery, 1104 Central Heights Road.
A viewing will be held on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., from 1 to 7 p.m. A wake will be conducted on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel with the family present to receive other family members and friends.
Annie was born to the late Willie T. Best and Eliza Thompson Best on April 13, 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie W. Lee.
Mother Annie leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Dorothy B. Davis of the home; a granddaughter, Monica M. Davis of Goldsboro; a grandson, Daniel Clark of Goldsboro; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, two brothers; five sisters; special friend and daughter; Narvie and Cheryl Larry of Hyattsville, Md.; life time friends of the family, Margaret, Phillip Baddour II and family; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Dorothy Davis, 507 Gulley St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
