FREEMAN L. ALDRIDGE SR.
Died Aug. 25, 2008
Mr. Freeman Levonier Aldridge Sr., 76, 679 Durham Road, Dudley, son of the late John and Ora Aldridge, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at
The First Congregational United Church of Christ, Dudley. Burial will follow in The First Congregational United Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. The body may be viewed on Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St.
Mr. Aldridge was a well known mechanic who specialized in repairing Mercedes Benzes in the area.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Inez Smith Aldridge of the home, three sons, Freeman L Aldridge Jr. of Durham, Angelo and Tonya Aldridge of Munich, Germany, Eugene and Sherry Aldridge of Raleigh; three daughters, Margurite Aldridge of Durham, Eugenia Aldridge of Dudley, Sheila and Keenan Marshall of Logansville, Ga.; two step-daughters, Erma J. and Wilbert King of Apex, LaDell Smith of Jamaica, N.Y.; two brothers, Richard Aldridge of Washington, D.C., Edison Aldridge of Mount Laurel, N.J.; one aunt, Mrs. Catherine Davis of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
