Addie Belle Best, 69, 105 Eleanor Place, entered eternal rest on Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Her life and service to God and humanity will be celebrated on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Greater St. John Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. William Mitchell officiating. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park.
To cherish her legacy and memory, she leaves her sons Reginald Best and Richard Best, both of Goldsboro; godson, Larry Phillips; brothers, James Lee Best of Newton Grove, John Best of Connecticut, Hoey Best of Washington D.C., Roosevelt Best of Maryland, Thomas Best of Maryland, Roy Best of Virginia and Kevin Best of Goldsboro; sisters, Helen Jackson of Goldsboro, Nina Mcrae of Maryland, Evelyn Jeffers of Georgia, Linda Best of Florida, Joyce Marsh of Goldsboro and Carmen Williams and Goldsboro.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro. Ms. Best's remains will lie in state at the church on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with family present to receive friends during an inspirational wake from 7 to 8 p.m.
At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her son Reginald 904 Seventh St. where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
