Died Aug. 25, 2008
CLINTON -- Marlene Best Starnes, 69, died Monday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Warsaw. Visitation will follow the service. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Devotional Gardens.
Mrs. Starnes is survived by her husband, William "Dickie" Starnes of Warsaw; daughter, Rosemond Starnes Sloan and husband Aaron of Turkey; brothers, Billy Best of Warsaw, Danny Best of Faison, Jerry Best of Virginia; sisters, Shelby Driver of Faison, Clara Ray of Warsaw, Linda Strickland of Warsaw; grandchildren, Edward Blake Sloan and Marlee Katlynn Sloan.
Mrs. Starnes was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse Brown Best and Boyce Best.
Arrangements are being handled by Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.
