Mrs. Christine Jackson Aycock, 80, died Wednesday at Sterling House.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Jefferson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Johnson and Rev. Alice Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Aycock was born on May 11, 1928, in Wayne County to the late Gurman Jackson and Bessie Price Jackson. She was married to the late Aubrey Weil Aycock. Mrs. Aycock was an active member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. She was a devoted and faithful wife, homemaker and church worker.
Mrs. Aycock is survived by her sisters, Betty Mozingo and husband, Charles of Mount Olive and Edith Jones of Las Vegas, Nev.; her brothers, Sylvester Jackson of Kinston, Ralph Jackson and wife, Lois of Eureka and Thomas Jackson of Grantham; her sister-in-law and caregiver, Anne A. Cox of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Jefferson United Methodist Church.
Flowers are welcome though memorials may be made to Jefferson United Methodist Church, 1100 Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
