John Edward Thompson, 67, a resident of Kirkwood Retirement Village, died on Monday, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
No formal services will be held.
He is survived by his parents John and Marie Higginbotham, one son, one daughter, one sister and three brothers.
Arrangements being handled at Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Goldsboro.
