CHOCOWINITY -- William "Bill" Downes, 54, 107 Cherokee Trail, died Saturday, June 28, 2008.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Bishop Gary Corbett officiating.
He was manager of Kemp Recyclers in Chocowinity. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert John Downes.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Bell Downes of Goldsboro; his daughter, Shannon D. Bass of Wilson; his sons, William Edward "Will" Downes of LaGrange; Robert T. Downes of Greenville; his brothers, Robert John Downes III of Durham; Leonard Downes of Goldsboro; and four grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Madison and Emma.
Garner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
