Blanche Rose Howell Atkinson, 56, 402 B. S. William St., died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. James African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, with Bishop Alton Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughter and caregiver, Tonya Renee of the home; her faithful mother, Mary Jane Howell; her loving sister and her husband, James and Linda Sue Taylor; a nephew, whom she loved like a son, Omar J. Taylor of Florence, S.C.; a special great-aunt, Ada Herron of Goldsboro; and a host of special cousins and friends.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., with the family present to receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the home of her mother at 402 S. William St.
