Alex Dewayne McDuffie was born Aug. 2, 1961, and departed this life Sunday, June 8, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church on Poplar Street in Goldsboro, 27530.
He was the son of Ellis McDuffie of Goldsboro and Ms. Edna Humphrey of Lackawanna, N.Y.
Mr. McDuffie is survived by his father, Ellis McDuffie of Goldsboro, N.C.; his mother, Ms. Edna Humphrey of Lackawanna, N.Y.; his fiancee´, Ms. Patricia Reid of the home; brothers, Travis Humphrey, Rickie and Anthony Bryant of Buffalo, N.Y., and Antonio McDuffie of Goldsboro; sisters, Andrea and Tammy Bryant of Buffalo, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews; a host of cousins, including Falecial Anderson of Dudley and Tina Jones of Goldsboro; and friends.
The body may be viewed Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
