REV. GEORGE FITZPATRICK
Died June 8, 2008
SPRING LAKE -- The Rev. George Fitzpatrick, 12 Sandy Wood Drive, son of the late Benjamin and Mary Woods Fitzpatrick, peacefully passed away at his home Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. at LN Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street extension, Wilson, N.C., 27893. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in front of the church.
Prior to retirement, he was a principal in the Harnett County School System.
As a member of the clergy, he pastored at Mount Pisgah Original Free Will Baptist Church in Erwin, Darden Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro and Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson.
He was CEO for Western Medical Group.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette Fitzpatrick of the home; sons, John Fitzpatrick (Joyce) of Atlanta, Ga., Warren Monroe and Michael Fitzpatrick of Raleigh and Barry Monroe and Kevin Monroe of Charlotte; brothers, Lewis Fitzpatrick (Mary) of Cleveland, Ohio, Albert Fitzpatrick (Doreen) of Akron, Ohio, and Michael Fitzpatrick of Elyriah, Ohio; sisters, Joyce Bradford of Hattisburg, Miss., and Janet Cross (Johnny) of Sandusky, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon Fitzpatrick of the home, John Fitzpatrick Jr. (Pauline) and Amanda Fitzpatrick of Durham, Monique Fitzpatrick of Jacksonville, Fla.; and godchildren, Ruby Smith of the home and Patricia Brinson (Richard) of Goldsboro.
The body will lie in state Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Original Free Will Baptist Church in Erwin, N.C., 28339.
