WALLACE -- William "Bill" Edward Mathews, 91, formerly of Harrells, died Thursday.
The funeral was held Saturday at 1 p.m. Saturday at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel, with the Revs. Ronnie Ezzell and William Tew officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Park in Watha.
Mathews was born Feb. 19, 1917, in Sampson County, the son of the late William Edward and Lillie Smith Mathews.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Whaley Mathews of the home, and three daughters.
