GREENVILLE -- John Calvin Smith Jr., 52, died Wednesday, after a battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God, with the Rev. Raymond Hoggard officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Smith of Goldsboro.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane Casper Smith of Greenville, and three children.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
