HUGH D. WALLER
LaGRANGE -- Hugh Durwood "Bud" Waller, 75, of 210 N. Caswell St., died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at his home. Bud was born in Greene County to the late Hugh and Lois Stafford Waller. He was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters, Wayne Stafford, Johnny Stafford, Nancy Hamilton and Valerie Waller. Bud was the owner/operator of The Travelers Station in LaGrange for many years.
The funeral will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery.
Bud is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sara Foster Waller; seven children, Hugh Durwood Waller II and wife, Kim, of Fayetteville, Steve Dooley and family friend, Bobbie Jo Craft, of LaGrange, Sheila Dooley and family friend, Danny Grant, of LaGrange, Sandy Wayne and husband, Mike, of Cove City, Sue Sullivan and husband, Edsel, of Goldsboro, Diane Vega of Virginia, Linda Kearney and husband, Allen, of Snow Hill; brother, Bill Waller and wife, Kathryn, of Snow Hill; two sisters, Ramona Smith of Kinston and Brenda Kelly of Goldsboro; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
