ARTHUR R. MCCANN

Arthur Raymond McCann, 71, died on Friday at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va. Mr. McCann was born in New York and was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps with 25 years of service. After his military career, he worked with Rouse Construction Company in Kinston.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Full military honors will follow the service on the front lawn.
Mr. McCann is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kay D. McCann; his daughter, Nicole Hansen and husband, Jonas, of Kings Mountain; his stepdaughters, Phyllis McCorkhill and husband, Chuck, of Norfolk, Va., Lora Chandra and husband, Alan, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Elaine Moody of Seven Springs; his stepson, Edward Jones of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home, 407 Dove Place, Golds-boro.
