WILLIE R. MURPHY
Willie Ross Murphy, 67, of 26560 Meadow Road, Menifee, Calif., formerly of Goldsboro, died May 6 in the Magnolia Rehabilitation Center in Riverside, Calif.
He wlll be remembered during a eulogistic service Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hooks Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
To cherish warm memories, he leaves sons Willie Sanders of Baltimore, Md., Mark Murphy of Orlando, Fla., and Keith Murphy of Chandler, Ariz.; sisters Doris M.Taylor and Marolia Cox, both of Goldsboro; foster sisters Geraldine Sherard of Goldsboro and Joyce "Ludy" Standford of Princess Anne, Va.; foster brothers John Harper Jr. of Southbridge, Va., and Melvin Harper of Durham, N.C.
Visitiation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church, with the family present to receive friends from noon until 1 p.m.
The family will receive friends at other times at the home of his foster sister Geraldine Sherard at 123 Susan Circle.
