MINNIE F. GINN
PIKEVILLE -- Minnie Forehand Ginn, 90, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 5, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Minnie was born on March 6, 1918, to the late William Thomas Forehand and Loudella Pate Forehand and was married to the late Paul Daniel Ginn. Her passion was fishing and even into her later years enjoyed many days on the fishing pier. She was an active member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Don Sauls and the Rev. Ira Williford officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Forehand Cemetery.
Minnie is survived her daughters, Paulette Chase and husband, Keith, of Pikeville and Lou Ann Hinson Gurganus and husband, Danny, of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Eric Hinson and wife, Wanda, of Nashville, Tenn., Ricky Hinson and wife, Cherie, of Wichita, Kansas; Teresa Carter Odum and husband, Robert, of Fremont and Clark Chase and wife, Teresa, of Round Lake, Ill.; and her great grandchildren, Ashlee Hinson, Cody Hinson, Talier Hinson and Joseph Carter.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Vonda Pennington; her sisters, Lucy Suggs, Smithie Cuddington, Ruby Pate and Lydia Hawley and her brothers, Luther Forehand, Tommy Forehand, Luby Forehand and Frank C. Forehand.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P. O. Box 910, Pikeville, NC 27863.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service and at other times at the home Keith and Paulette Chase at 391 Forehand Road, Pikeville, N.C.
