The Rev. Wade Everette Jr., 72, lovingly known by his family and church friends as "Pastor Everette," of 200 E. Lockhaven Drive, Apt.3-D, passed on Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Golds-boro, N.C.
A native of Passaic, N.J., the Rev. Ever-ette was the son of the late Wade and Lot-tie Everette. In addition to his parents, the Rev. Ever-ette was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Martin.
The Rev. Everette was the pastor and founder of The Deliverance Center here in the city of Goldsboro, N.C.
He is survived by his wife Evangelist Dollie Everette, of the home; four children, David Scott and wife, Pam, of Chesapeake, Va., Eric Scott and wife, Shirlene, Samuel Everette, Roletta Everette and her special friend, D.J., all of Goldsboro, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; five siblings, Richard Everette and wife, Elaine, of East Orange, N.J., Lawrence Everette and wife, Nancy, of Passaic, N.J., Keith Everette and Diane Lisanti, of Belleville, N.J., Ethel Scott of Vauxhall, N.J., Rossie Manderville of Slickerville, N.J.
A home going celebration will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 3 p.m. from the Philadelphia Community Church, 357 Hare Road, Goldsboro, N.C. with Apostle Bob McArthur officiating. Interment will follow in the Everette Family Cemetery, Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro, N.C. A wake will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., from 7 to 8 p.m. with the family present to receive other family members and friends.
At other times, the family will receive family and friends at the residence of Evangelist Dollie Everette at 200 E. Lockhaven Drive, Apartment 3-D, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
