CALYPSO -- Peggy Francis Grimes Cottle, 74, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Olive, with Dr. Gregory Day officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
She was a member of the Calypso Baptist Church and was retired from Cates Pickle Company where she was office manager and secretary.
Preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Olivia Sutton Grimes; two sisters, Marie Arthur and Helen Gold Grimes; three brothers, Edward Grimes, Huron Grimes and Travis Grimes; and a son-in-law, Mitcheal P. King; she is survived by her husband, Will Cottle of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Carroll and Mary Helen Cottle of Calypso; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pam C. and Roger Barwick, Connie C. and Johnny Kelly, all of Calypso, Cindy C. and Gerald King of Mount Olive, Betsy C. and Ray Strickland of Faison; a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy G. and Bill Denning of Smithfield; 13 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the home, 215 North Duplin School Road, Mount Olive.
