JOYCE L. LANIER

Joyce Marie Lupton Lanier, 75, of 907 First St., died Monday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born in Pamlico County to the late William Daniel Lupton and Leona Hodge Lupton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Joyce is survived by her special K-9 companion, Sasha; her children, Blaine Lanier, Charlene Lanier Reaume, Marsha Lanier Cholewinski and husband, Joseph; her sisters, Mae Neal of Goldsboro, Helen Everette of Holly Ridge, Jean Mitchell of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special nieces and nephew, Steve Mitchell, Beth Daniels, Terri Mitchell and Cheryl Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Leonard "Lennie" Lanier; and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
