NEWPORT -- Alma Phelps, 91, died Saturday at Carteret General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Phelps; and parents, Jarvis and Estelle Brock.
Two children survive.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Morehead City with the Rev. Charles Royal officiating. Graveside will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
