WILSON -- Addie Geraldine Lofton Best, 54, of 5712 U.S. Hwy. 264 East, passed away Friday at Wilson Medical Center.
Service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane St. Extension. Elder Ernest Ray Melton Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Extension.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Channie Barnes Lofton.
Loving memories of Addie are cherished by her husband, Bobby Gray Best Sr. of the home; two sons, Bobby Gray Best Jr. and wife, Letitia, of Raleigh, Jason Gerard Best and wife, Kiesher, of Owings Mills, Md.; one daughter, Alicia Michelle Best-Stephens and husband, Boyce, of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Brandon Best, Breshawn Best, Jalen Best, Patrick Stephens and Zoey Best; six sisters, Ollie Lofton of Goldsboro, Bobbie Lofton-Woodard and husband, George, of Wilson; Linda Lofton-Staton and husband, Melvin, of Rocky Mount, Wanda Bullock and husband, Dannie, of Wilson; Carol Smith and husband, Les, of Stantonsburg, Hope Pittman of the Saratoga Community; four brothers, Raymond Joseph Lofton of Saratoga, Roland Melvin Lofton, Billy Earl Lofton and wife, Irene, both of Wilson, Randy Lee Lofton and wife, Shirley, of Fuquay-Varina; six uncles; four aunts; 16 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece; with a host of other special relatives and friends.
A viewing of Mrs. Best will take place Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. The family will receive friends at 6501 Speight School Road, Saratoga, where they will also assemble one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Wilson.
