MARY E. ARTIS MORRISEY

Mary E. Artis Morrisey was born in Wayne County to the late Thad Artis and Laurina Artis of Wayne County. Our loved one departed this earthly life to her heavenly home on Sunday at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Mount Olive.
Mary attended Eastern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College. She was a devoted and faithful member of Gospel Tabernacle Church of Deliverance.
Homegoing services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gospel Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, 1015 N. James St., Goldsboro, with Bishop Leamon Sykes officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Mill Cemetery.
Ms. Morrisey leaves precious memories to be cherished by eight brothers, Elder John and wife, Jackie, and William and wife, Manor, both of Pikeville, N.C., Claude of Washington, D.C., Roger and James and wife, Linda, both of Maryland; Deacon Thad Jr. and wife, Carol, of Pikeville, N.C., Donnie and wife, Barbara, of Harrisburg, Pa., Deacon Jerry and wife, JoAnn, of Goldsboro, N.C.; four sisters, Irene, Jennie and Bernice and husband, Albert, all of Washington, D.C., Dorothy and husband, James, of Maryland; two aunts, Maggie Williams and Helen Coley, both of Wilson, N.C.; one uncle, Ivory Coley of Goldsboro, N.C.; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday from 2 until 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, and the family will be present to receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at 201 Meadow Crest Drive in Goldsboro and will also gather there for the funeral processional.
