TONY MORRIS

Tony Edward Morris, 47, of 101 Mint Dr., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at Pitt Memorial Hospital. A native of Indianapolis, Ind., he was the son of Jerry Morris of Utah and Eva Reagan Morris of Land O'Lakes, Fla. Tony was retired from civil service as a trainer for Security Forces and was a detective sergeant with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, where he helped establish and was a member of the honor guard. Tony served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Williams officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at noon at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Donna Morris; brothers, Mark Morris of Tampa, Fla. and Mike Morris of Fla.
The family will receive friends Monday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
